I grew up watching Combat, my parents bought me combat outfit and Vic's Tommy Gun

Lucky was the soldier who came back alive and in one piece. Those German and French winters had to be unforgiving. Cage is a winner.

To be fair, Vic Morrow was old even for the average WW2 soldier. Unlikely at almost 40

What hypocrisy in Hollywood, Vic marrow was also cast in several westerns and police films used guns in all of them

Watched combat when I was a kid didn’t miss a show their was another show on before combat came on it was called The galant men

That was wrong of that soldier to drop that trash

I loved the series. But it seems every German was portrayed as a 6.3 giant. That was not the case. They were just mortals like you and I.

There could never be another series like this that could be made without CGI. Back then everything had to be acted with studio scenery etc. Amazing series. Cudos to those that were in this series. Just Brilliant.

It’s such a pity the the series cannot be remastered! It is an icon .

Vic eventually got to hate working on the series. He said the series went on longer than the actual War. But what a great series. Yes there were many tactical errors in the series. But to try and reenact what actually happened in war. Mistakes will be made. But generally it was brilliant.

Growing up in the 50’s/ 60s I always loved these shows along with Cheyenne and tons of other shows.. funny how My name was Chip.

The ending left a lot to be desired.

pretty amazing how screenplaywrights Bob & Esther Mitchell establish in 22 minutes the characters of the 4 replacements, and we empathize with them

I wanted a Thompson from the time Istarted watching Combat best war show on TV dont get me wrong I loved the westerns to but this show was my favorite now that im ojd Idid get that Thompson sbr Semi-auto when ever I watch Combat I pull the Thompson hold it and great memories god bless them all.Dennis

I loved Combat as a kid and thought Vic Morrow was the best. It never occurred to me back then that Sgt Saunders would lose his helmet and M1928A1 Thompson with a Cutts compensator on a semi-regular basis but in the next episode he'd have the same helmet and same Thompson! And he had his magic jacket that held his stick mags, grenades, maps, binoculars and c-rats. Great episode!
